The Southern Kings have ruled 8th man Jacques Engelbrecht out of the game against the Highlanders on Saturday following a bad sprain in the 49th minute of the 72-10 loss to the Waratahs at the weekend.
Director of Rugby, Alan Solomons said that Engelbrecht had been for X-rays to his right ankle and they had come back clear, but that Engelbrecht would need to rest the ankle and as such would not be eligible for selection.
Solomons said right winger Sergeal Petersen, who has flown out to join the SA U20 team, sustained a grade two tear to his right hamstring during the match against the Waratahs, and was expected to be out for around three to four weeks.
Solomons names his team to play the Highlanders at lunch time on Tuesday.
