Chevrolet Warriors all rounder Simon Harmer has been banned for one match after pleading guilty to a charge of using language that was obscene, offensive or insulting to an umpire.
The incident took place in the dramatic tied Ram Slam T-20 match between the Warriors and the Dolphins in Port Elizabeth on the 17th of January.
Cricket South Africa Disciplinary Commissioner, Professor Rian Cloete, on Tuesday deemed the offence a level two offence which carries with it a suspension for one four-day match without the need to impose a fine.
It means that Harmer is ineligible for selection for the 4-day Sunfoil Series Match between the Warriors and the Highveld Lions which is due to get undersay at Axxess St Georges on Thursday.
