Former Southern Kings head coach Matt Sexton will remain with Eastern Province Rugby and will be taking on more administrative duties following the departure of Alan Solomons to Edinburgh.
David Maidza will continue to coach the EP Kings First division side and yesterday named a team consisting of the bulk of the Union's remaining Super Rugby players for Friday's clash with the Pumas in Nelspruit.
Sexton said the Kings may have lost their Super Rugby status, for now, but that plenty of work remains to be done behind the scenes - particularly around the contracting-space.
Sexton has also been tasked with developing the long-term strategy to prepare the team for re-entry into Super Rugby.
