Charl Jonck of Port Elizabeth has returned home victorious from a phenomenal week at the SA eightball Pool Championships in Worcester.
He won the Open Singles Competition against a field of 128 players and was second in the team stats as Eastern Province finished 6th overall.
In the SA Singles Event, which was his first SA's, Charl was unseeded and won eight matches in a row to make the final.
In the final he played the 6th seed Martin Greyvenstein of Central Gauteng and won 9-8 after being 5-8 down at one stage.
With his victory in the Singles final and Open Competition & 2nd place in team stats - Charl was not surprisingly named player of the tournament.
