South Africa women's cricket team made history on Friday by beating England by six runs for a berth in their first World Cup final.
South Africa set England a target of 165 to win at Newlands, with both teams vying for the right to play Australia in Sunday's final.
South African opener Laura Wolvaardt made 54 off 44 balls, with opening partner, Tazmin Brits, also sparkling with 68 off 55 balls.
The next two wickets to fall were that of Chloe Tryon for three and Nadine de Klerk, who went for a duck. as the Proteas women put on a score of 164 for four in 20 overs.
In reply England were clinical and ran the Proteas Women's team close on 158 for 8, losing by just six runs.
The pick of the South African bowlers were Ayabonga Khaka, with four wickets for 29 runs, and Shabnim Ismail who returned figures of three for 27 in her four overs.
Nadine de Klerk took 1 wicket in her four overs.
Tazmin Britz was named player of the match.
