Team South Africa won 29 medals in total of which 8 were gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze.

Natalie du Toit scooped 1.4 million rand for her three gold and one silver.
Oscar Pistorious took home 700-thousand rand for his relay and individual gold and for his one silver medal.

Port Elizabeth's paralympians were also in the money.

They arrive back in Port Elizabeth at ten to three this afternoon along with fellow PE athlete Duane Strydom who was 8th in his discus event.
