South African Rugby Sevens legend Werner Kok has asked his thousands of Twitter followers to help him retrieve his rugby jerseys that were stolen from a storage facility in Cape Town.
Twenty-eight-year-old Kok tweeted on Friday that every single one of his Springbok Sevens jerseys, with the number 5 on the back, had been stolen on Wednesday.
He said this included his special jersey for playing at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 as well as the jersey he wore during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Kok, who currently plays for the Cell C Sharks, said this was 10 years of hard work stolen within minutes and that he will have nothing left to show his children one day.
He did not divulge the name of the storage facility in Cape Town but did ask that folk be on the lookout if his jerseys suddenly appear for sale as items of memorabilia.
World Rugby Sevens joined Werner in empathising with him for his loss.
No amount of money can buy this ????
