Cricket Eastern Cape CEO, Dave Emslie received a rousing send off on Monday night as he bid farewell to the organisation he has steered through good times and bad for the past 19 years.
Emslie resigned last month to pursue other interests and to make way for 'new blood' at EP Cricket.
In an emotional farewell, Emslie paid particular tribute to the core group of people he has forged a tremendous relationship with at EP Cricket.
The farewell took place in the Bojangles Suite at the top of the Duckpond Pavilion, with Emslie describing the challenges of settling the Duckpond-debt as one of the biggest he'd had to face during his tenure.
Former United Cricket Board boss Dr Ali Bacher was in attendance and singled out Emslie's securing and hosting of a successful World Cup semi-final in 2003 as one of the finest achievements of his career.
