A world-record third-wicket partnership between century-makers Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers set the foundation for South Africa's 34-run victory over Pakistan in the third one-day international at the Wanderers yesterday.
The Proteas took a 2-1 lead in the five-match series, with the two batsmen combining for a 238-run stand off 194 deliveries
after Pakistan won the toss and sent the hosts in to bat.
AB scored 128 off 108 balls and Hashim 122 off 113 balls.
Set a target of 344, Pakistan were bowled out for 309 with 11 balls to spare - despite the best efforts of Shahid Afrid who smashed 88 off 48 balls with 5 fours and 7 sixes.
Match four is a day-game in Durban on the public holiday on Thursday.
