The Proteas thrashed New Zealand by 190 runs in their cricket world cup clash in Pune on Tuesday, thanks to another ton from Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen.
In a confident batting display, the Proteas put on a daunting total of 357/4 in their 50 overs.
De Kock, who scored his fourth World Cup century, made 114 off 116 balls, with Man of the Match, Rassie van der Dussen, notching up his second world cup ton, with 133 from 118 deliveries.
David Miller smashed 53 off 30 balls while captain Temba Bavuma scored 24, with Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram not out on 15 and six respectively.
Glen Phillips was the pick of the New Zealand batsmen with 60, with the only notable contributions from Will Young with 33 and Daryl Mitchell contributing 24 for the only double contributions from the Black Caps
The pick of the Proteas bowlers was Keshav Maharaj who bagged four scalps for 46 runs in his nine overs, while young Marco Jansen who returned figures of 3/31 in his eight overs.
Cricket South Africa said it was another fine showing by Rob Walter’s side, set up by their record eighth consecutive 300-plus totals whilst batting first in One-Day International (ODI) cricket, the longest streak in history.
The victory moved South Africa to the top of the table above hosts India on net run rate.
The two will clash on Sunday at Eden Gardens in Kolkota.
