An 86th minute goal from Brent Carelse dealt Orlando Pirates' title defence a massive blow as they lost 1-0 to Chippa United in their Absa Premiership match at Orlando Stadium last night.
The win could not have come at a better time for Chippa, as they rise off the bottom of the table to 14th on 24 points.
Pirates' chances of winning the league are all but mathematical as they remain on 49 points, seven behind Chiefs with three games remaining in the season.
At Loftus, Mamelodi Sundowns beat Free State Stars 2-1.
Meanwhile: Borussia Dortmund qualified for their second ever Champions League final last night, beating Real Madrid 4-3 on aggregate despite losing the second leg of their semi-final 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid were given a lifeline in the 83rd minute when substitute Karim Benzema swept home Ozil's low cross.
And six minutes later they had real hope of an incredible comeback as captain Sergio Ramos rifled a shot into the roof of the net.
But Dortmund withstood the onslaught in an agonising five minutes of stoppage time to seal their place at the final at Wembley next month.
The second semi-final second leg is tonight between Barcelona and Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp - Barca trailing 4-0 from the first leg.
