NMMU powerlifter Sebastiaan Loubser has returned home from Morocco as a double Afica champion.
Twenty Four year-old Loubser was competing for the South African team in the All African Championships in Meknes, Morocco last week.
Loubser, who is a final year BSC Information's Systems student at NMMU, won gold in the junior 120 kilogramme bench press category with his effort of 177 kilogrammes.
He also won gold in the power-lifting discipline in the same junior category were his lifts were 215 kilogrammes in the squat, 180 kilogrammes in bench and 232.5 kilogrammes for dead-lift.
Loubser's double gold in Morocco capped a perfect season in which he has won all five of the competitions he entered this year.
He now qualifies for the World Championships which will take place in Potchefstroom next year.
