Proteas Women
Pakistan women bounced back to beat the Proteas women by 13 runs to level the T20 international series 1-1 in Multan on Wednesday.
South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The home side made 181 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs, with opener Muneeb Siddiqui top-scoring with 45 off 34 balls. Her knock included 6 fours and two sixes.
Captain, Laura Wolvaardt, got the innings off to a good start, making 36 off 25 deliveries, including 5 fours, and a six
Down the order, Sune Luus made a swashbuckling 53 off 29 balls, to become the third Proteas player to score 1000 runs and take 50 wickets in T20i cricket.
However, her heroics at the end with Chloe-Lesleigh Tryon, who made 30, were not enough to see the Proteas Women home as they fell short making 164 for 4 in reply.
The deciding T20 international will take place on Friday at the same venue that hosted all three matches.
The series also serves as a warm-up for South Africa ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in the UAE.
