Hosts Rustenburg Impala will face Blue Bulls champions Pretoria Police in a heavyweight northern-union semifinal at the Saru National Club Championships tomorrow after both sides recorded impressive wins in their quarterfinals.
Pretoria Police beat Durbanville-Bellville 36-25 and Impala took out Roodepoort 31-19.
The other semifinal sees 2010 national club champions College Rovers from KZN face Border champions Broubart Old Selbornians in an all-East Coast affair.
College Rovers were made to sweat against EP’s Despatch, coming back from 30-28 down with six minutes to play to win 41-30.
Border champions Old Selbornians booked their spot in the last four with a stunning 28-26 win over Valke champions Brakpan.
Old Boys’ hero was flyhalf Glen Warner, who kicked 20 points including a vital drop goal.
