ODI series to go ahead as Proteas return negative test results

Cricket South Africa said the entire Proteas team returned negative test results from Covid19 tests conducted on Friday night.

This after initially announcing a postponement of the first match due to Covid19 concerns.

In a statement on Saturday, CSA said the One Day International series opener will get underway as scheduled at Eurolux Boland Park on Sunday at 10:00.

The ODI schedule is as follows:

Sunday, 06 December 2020 – 1^st Betway ODI, Eurolux Boland Park, Paarl (Day Match), 10:00.

Monday, 07 December 2020 – 2^nd Betway ODI, Six Gun Grill Newlands, Cape Town (Day-night Match), 14:00.

Wednesday, 09 December 2020 – 3^rd Betway ODI, Six Gun Grill Newlands, Cape Town (Day-night Match), 13:00.

England won the three-match T20 series.
