South Africa paceman Marchant de Lange took 4-46 as the tourists bowled out New Zealand for 206 in Saturday's third and final
one-day international.
He was helped by Hashim Amla who held three catches from De Lange's bowling, while Faf du Plessis also held two catches and
effected a runout, as New Zealand was bowled out in 47 overs after being sent in to bat.
Captain Brendon McCullum top-scored with 47 and allrounders James Franklin and Colin de Grandhomme both made 36 in a weak New Zealand batting effort, that will make it difficult to avoid a 3-0 series whitewash.
New Zealand scored only 106 in the first 30 overs, kept in check by a South African attack which was fast, accurate and supported by excellent fielding.
