The injury-weakened Waikato Chiefs stunned the Auckland Blues with a four-try blitz in the first half to secure a bonus point and a comprehensive 29-14 win in the second round of the Super 15 competition earlier today.
With both of the New Zealand teams desperate to bounce back from defeats in the opening round, the Chiefs backline ran Auckland ragged in the driving Hamilton rain.
In the second game of the day, the Waratahs also produced a four-try bonus point first-half blitz in comfortably beating the Rebels 35-19 in an ill-tempered match in Melbourne.
