The Southern Kings home jersey for the 2016 Super Rugby season was worn for the first time on Monday morning by CJ Velleman and Edgar Marutlulle at the new Kings Connection Retail Store at the Boardwalk in Summerstrand.
The store will be selling a variety of Southern Kings replica wear, manufactured by BLK clothing, and also house a Ticketpro office where tickets can be purchased for match day.
Velleman and Marutlulle were both named in the Southern Kings first group of 20 players on Sunday with SARU set to announce more signings before the completed squad reports for duty on the 4th of January.
Marutlulle is a seasoned Super Rugby campaigner and believes that despite the turmoil of the last few months at cash-strapped EP Rugby, the Southern Kings will be ready for their Super Rugby opener against the Sharks on the 27th of February.
