The Board of Directors of EP Cricket has announced the appointment of a full-time CEO. Former Dolphins CEO Mr Jesse Chellan will take up office on Monday 2 February. Jesse who was educated at Michaelhouse and has a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy spent many years with top pharmaceutical companies in the country.
He was appointed as the CEO of KZN Cricket and the Dolphins in 2009 and his passion and drive for the game led Chellan to a very successful career with the cricket franchise. "It is an honour and a privilege to be appointed to this position. I would like to thank the Board of EP Cricket for their confidence and trust. In particular I would like to thank Donovan May, Mark Williams and Haroon Lorgat.
"Cricket in the Eastern Cape and St. George's Park are long standing national assets and together with the good people employed at EP, we will strive to build on this legacy."
President of EP Cricket, Donovan May said "We were very impressed with the calibre of applicants for the CEO position and are delighted to have Jesse on board. He has served in a similar position previously which augurs well for the future of cricket in the province and in particular EP Cricket. The Board would also like to thank Tono Mle and Saleem Mukuddem who stepped into the role of Interim CEO whilst the process of securing a full time CEO was ongoing."
