Chippa United have appointed Nigerian defender James Okwuosa as club captain for the second half of the season.
The announcement was made by Chippa owner Siviwe Mpengesi on Monday after he consulted with former skipper Andile Mbenyane and both agreed it was time to pass the armband on.
Mbenyane told his boss that he had been captain for many years and wanted to focus on his game for now.
Manti Moholo will be the vice-captain.
Chippa resume their Premier League campaign against University of Pretoria at the Tuks stadium on Tuesday night.
