Mossel Bay golfer Lee-Anne Pace ended a three year trophy drought with a one-stroke victory at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open yesterday.
Pace fired a final round one under 72 to end the Ladies European Tour event on three under par 289, one shot ahead the trio of
Minea Blomqvist of Finland, Charley Hull of England and Carlota Ciganda of Spain.
The win is Pace's sixth on tour - but first since October 2010.
Meanwhile: Tiger Woods shook off a double bogey at the 14th hole and held on to win the Players Championship at Sawgrass - his 78th tour win and fourth of the season.
Woods carded a final-round 70 for a 13-under par total and a two shot win over Swedish PGA Tour rookie David Lingmerth, Jeff Maggert and Kevin Streelman.
Best of the South Africans was Louis Oosthuizen on 5-under par - 8 shots off the pace in a tie for 19th position.
