Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy has reclaimed golf's world number-one ranking despite falling to Rickie Fowler in a playoff at the US PGA Tour's Wells Fargo Championship in North Carolina.
A top seven finish at Qual Hollow was all McIlroy needed to surplant Luke Donald at the summit.
McIlroy finished tied for second yesterday with DA Points, both parring the first playoff hole as Fowler birdied for the victory for his first US Tour win.
