The defending champion Mecer NMMU Madibaz will be looking to make it three wins out of three this week when they play Maties today at the USSA Cricket week in Pretoria.
Looking to win the tournament three years on the trott, the PE-based team enjoyed a 7 wicket win over UJ on Monday and yesterday beat UCT by 25 runs.
Batting first, the Madibaz posted a useful total of 246/7 with Colin Ackermann unbeaten on 128.
UCT were restricted to 221 for 9 in reply with Sisanda Magala taking 3 for 40 and Konrad de Villiers 2 for 19.
The Madibaz have a healthy run rate going into today's game agaimst Maties and will want to strengthen their position as they go into a likely Section play-off against Tukkies tomorrow.
