Luke Watson drops to the bench after an indifferent display in the heavy loss to the Bulls last week. Jacques Engelbrecht starts at eight man and center Andries Strauss assumes tha captaincy that he held in Australasia.
Solomons says the team let themselves down in their loss to the Bulls and that intensity is back at training this week. Strauss for his part says they had a big wake up call against the Bulls and he is promising a far better showing in bloemfontein. Winger Sergeal Peterson is not yet recovererd from a groin strain affording Siyanda Grey his super rugby debut on the right wing.
Michael Killian also makes his debut on the left wing for Marcello Sampson who is rested this week.
