Kaizer Chiefs have appointed Steve Komphela as their new coach.
Komphela takes over from Stuart Baxter who left the club at the end of their title winning campaign last season.
He says he wants to keep up the rich winning tradition of the Soweto giants.
47 year-old Komphela is the first local coach to take the position at Chiefs since the inception of the Premier Soccer League and has signed a three year contract.
Komphela resigned as coach of Maritzburg United on Monday, which paved the way for the Soweto giants to secure his services.
