KFC Ironman 4 the Kidz has raised a sum of 1.6 million-rand for 13 child-based charities in the Eastern cape.
The organisation's founder, Gary Stephenson, handed over the sizeable cheque at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday.
He says they're aiming to raise 2-million rand during next year's Ironman.
"We have really jumped in the deep end for next year and we are commiting to raising R2 000 000. So we have upped the stakes a little bit, but we think with the event being in it's 10th year next year we are going to be able to do that, and bring back to the kids who deserve as much help as they can get." says Stephenson
Stephenson also named some of the newcomers that will now benefit from the trust.
"Oos land Youth Centre in Despatch, The Sabrina Love Foundation in Plett, The Food Bank in Port Elizabeth and The ADP Motherwell Creche for disabled kids."
