India's rejection of the Decision Review System - or DRS - for their up-coming 4-Test series against Australia could raise tensions and boost the number of contentious decisions.
Cricket Australia had hoped the Indian cricket board would allow a compromise version of the DRS, which uses technology to improve the accuracy of decisions.
But Indian cricket chiefs said they would not budge because of concerns over the accuracy of electronic aids - they mustn't come crying at the end of the series if they get a few rough decisions.
Australia announced an extended 13-man squad today for next week's boxing day test in Melbourne and as expected opener Phil Hughes lost his place to Ed Cowan who has been in prolifice form for Australia A and in the domestic Sheffield Series.
