Khaya Majola Cricket Week ends in Cape Town

FINAL COCA-COLA KHAYA MAJOLA CRICKET WEEK RESULTS AND SA SCHOOLS AND SA COLTS TEAMS ANNOUNCED

21 December, 2011.  Boland won the unofficial title at the Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week in Cape Town yesterday, beating Western Province by five wickets.
There is no official winner at the Coca-Cola  Week, but the two sides that, in the view of the SA Schools committee, played the best cricket during the week are given the honour of playing on the main field on the final day. Boland have been impressive throughout the week and fully deserve the honour.
The final day’s play saw the second century of the week – by Free State’s Andries Gous – who made 137 against Mpumalanga.
There was also one five wicket taker on day four, Border’s Enkosi Nonyukela who took 5/36 against Limpopo.
The tournament ended with the announcement of an SA Schools and SA Colts team.  Both teams comprise the players that showed excellent potential during the week.  The SA Schools team play the Cape Cobra’s at Newlands while the SA Colts team play Western Province at the Western Province Cricket Club.  Both will be 50 over games starting at 9.30am  today, 21 December.
