Sunday's third and final day of the Nomads Boys' U18 Hockey Festival at Selborne College in East London produced 13 goals in the five matches and thrills aplenty for supporters.
Despite playing four matches on the two days prior to Sunday, each of these schools who are among the top-tier hockey schools in South Africa, gave everything in high-octane, skilful performances that bode well for the sport in this country.
Next year's Nomads U18 is at Maritzburg College, the school from the KwaZulu-Natal capital that celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2013. SA U19 player Tim Guise-Brown scored four penalty corner drag-flick goals Sunday in his College side's 4-1 win over Grey College.
