Genia re-signs with Queensland Reds

Wallabies scrum-half Will Genia has re-signed with the Queensland Reds until the end of the 2015 Super Rugby season in a dramatic turnaround after the club said he had joined the Western Force.

Genia said he changed his mind several times over the weekend and that he realised it was not all about the money - but where he wanted to be playing his rugby.

All Blacks captain Richie McCaw returned to Super Rugby action off the bench on Sunday as the Crusaders beat the Waratahs 37-33 in Sydney.

On Saturday, The Cheetahs blew a 30-9 lead in losing 36-33 to the Highlanders in Bloemfontein - compounded to which, inspirational flyhalf Johan Goosen did his shoulder and announced he'd be out for four months.

The Stormers made it 8 wins out of nine with a 17-3 win over the Western Force in Perth.

They're two points adrift of the overall log-leaders Waikato Chiefs who beat the Hurricans 33-14 in Hamilton.

On Friday night, the Brumbies beat the Lions 34-20 in Johannesburg and earlier in the day the hapless Blues lost 23-11 to the Reds in Auckland.
