The Southern Kings received a boost today when tighthead prop Kevin Buys passed a late fitness test on his injured upper-back.
He's been cleared to start in the front row alongside Schalk Ferreira and Bandise Maku on Saturday when the Kings take on the Highlanders at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
With Buys starting, fellow prop Grant Kemp is confirmed on the bench.
There's also been a late change to the EP Kings team for their Vodacom Cup semi-final tomorrow against the Pumas in Nelspruit.
Versatile front ranker Ross Geldenhuys comes onto the bench for Brendan Olivier.
The match is live on Supersport from four-thirty tomorrow afternoon.
Should the EP Kings beat the Pumas, and the Lions prevail over Western Province in the second semi-final at Ellis Park on Saturday - then the Kings will host the Lions in the final next Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
