Stormers captain Deon Fourie scored two tries to help his side defeat the Southern Kings 24-12 in a hard fought Super Rugby fixture in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
Fourie scored his first try on the stoke of half-time to give the Stormers an 11-9 lead at the break.
Earlier in the first half, the visitors scored points through Elton Jantjies and Joe Pietersen -- each kicking a penalty.
The accurate boot of Kings' flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis kept the home side in touch with three well-taken penalties.
The second half was a ding-dong affair as Catrakilis kicked his fourth penalty for the Kings and Jantjies two more for the visitors.
The Stormers finally took control in the 70th minute when Fourie crossed for his second try.
Jantjies added a conversion to make the score 24-12.
