Morris Olivier celebrated his inclusion in the EP mid-amateur team for golfers 35-years and older by winning the EP Foursomes alongside Attie Burger at Uitenhage Golf Club yesterday.
They shot rounds of 70 and 72 for a 2-under par total and a five shot win over Mzuyanda Zingela and Fezekile Fana.
Burger and Zingela were also named in the mid-amateur team for the inter provincial which will take place at Schoeman Park in Bloemfontein in October.
Olivier is a veteran of country districts IPT's but is a new cap at mid-amateur level.
The other new cap is PE Golf Club's Gareth Calder.
Karl du Preez once again captains the team which won the B-section at Humewood last year to earn promotion to the A-section.
The rest of the team is Ryno Ferreira, David Konzani and Anton Prinsloo.
Johnny Ludick of Graaff Reinet is the non travelling reserve.
