EP Kings hammer Bulls XV

A small but enthusiastic crowd was treated to a superb game of running rugby on Friday night as the EP Kings beat a young Bulls XV 66-28 in a Currie Cup warm up match at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium.

It was a try fest with the match featuring 13 tries in total - 10 by the Kings and 3 by the visitors.

The Kings are displaying an appetitie for running rugby under new head coach Carlos Spencer and scored 5 tries in the first half by flanker Paul Schoeman, 8th man Luke Watson, scrumhalf Jaco Grobler, centre Tim Whitehead and winger Ntabeni Dukisa.

The half time score was 33-16 to the Kings.

The EP Kings sealed the encounter in the first five minutes of the second half with tries by replacement centre Shane Gates and Whitehead.

There was no stopping the Kings who grew in confidence - they added another three tries by flanker Thembelani Bohli, fullback Scott van Breda and replacement scrumhalf Kevin Luiters just before the final whistle.

The EP King's next Currie Cup warm up at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is against a Sharks XV on the 4th of July.
