East London's Jade Buitendag was beaten 5 and 4 yesterday by Scotland's Fraser McKenna in the second round of the Sanlam SA Amateur at Country Club Johannesburg.
McKenna went on to beat Jason Viljoen in the afternoon to set up a quarter-final against fellow Scott Ewan Scott.
Ernie Els nephew Jevon Rebula was beaten 1up by Andrew Light of Mossel Bay.
Light will play Matthew Spacey of the Wanderers in the last eight.
