Day one action u-13 Craven Week


The Golden Lions, Western Province, Border and KwaZulu-Natal established themselves as the early pace-setters on day one of the  Under-13 Coca-Cola Craven Week in Bela-Bela.

The Lions beat Zimbabwe 36-nil and Western Province beat Griquas 31-7.

Border staged a second-half comeback against Free State after trailing 17-14 at the break to register an impressive  28-17 bonus-point victory.

KwaZulu-Natal beat Limpopo Blue Bulls 33-5.

The upset of the day was Eastern Province going down 10-5 to a spirited Leopards outfit.
Border Country Districts edged Griffons 5-3 and in a result you don't see every day, SWD and Valke played to a nil-all draw.


Meanwhile: The LSEN Craven Week got underway on Monday at Daniel Pienaar in Uitenhage.
Hosts Eastern Cape thumped the Pumas 55-5.
SWD Eagles beat Blue Bulls EE 47-12.
The Lions edged Free State 15-10 and Western Province thumped the Leopards 76-25.
Griffons had an impressive 25-5 win over KZN and Boland beat the Falcons 40-29.
The Blue Bulls beat the Lions EE 25-20
