2014-2015 CHEVROLET WARRIORS AWARDS
At an end of season and awards dinner held on Tuesday 24 March 2015 at The Granary, Cricket Eastern Cape honoured players for their performances in the 2014-2015 season.
The evening was also an opportunity for the franchise to thank and pay tribute to their sponsor for the past 8 years, Chevrolet who will no longer sponsor the Warriors. “Chevrolet provided the franchise with the impetus and support to create a very strong brand within our region and country wide. Their sponsorship did not only support the professional team but also the High Performance Programme which is the feeder system to the Warriors. Their additional activation budget given outside of the sponsorship was rare in sporting circles and often the envy of other teams. As with all good things – it had to come to an end and we would like to thank Chevrolet and in particular Tim Hendon for the support and encouragement the franchise has received over the years. We hope to find another sponsor with as much passion and drive for our franchise” said Leigh Deyzel Commercial Manager.
Tim Hendon, Chevrolet Brand Manager, said “Chevrolet is tremendously proud of the Warriors team as a whole and congratulates the players honoured tonight. I am convinced that the team, coaching staff and the management of this fine franchise will confront the future head on and be successful going forward – just like they have done many times in the past”
