JOHANNESBURG, August (ANA) - Eric Tinkler has been appointed as the new coach of Chippa United, the Premiership club announced on Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chippa confirmed the departure of Dan Malesela as coach after three games of the new season.
“Chippa United hereby confirms that it has parted ways with head coach Dan Malesela. The club would like to thank coach Dan for his contribution to the club over the past and current season and wish him the best with his future endeavours.”
Just hours later, the club announced Tinkler as the new coach.
“The club furthermore wishes to confirm the appointment of Eric Tinkler.”
Tinkler’s first assignment in charge of Chippa will be against SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium on August 29. - African News Agency (ANA)
