Brazilian David Luiz scored deep into stoppage time to keep Chelsea on track for a second successive European final after a 2-1 victory at Basle in their Europa League semifinal, first leg last night.
Four minutes into stoppage time, and with tennis great Roger Federer looking on, Luiz struck a low freekick that keeper Yann Sommer could only help into the net.
In last night's other semi-final, Fenerbahce also gained an advantage by beating Portuguese club Benfica 1-0 in Istanbul.
