Springbok management are currently sweating over the fitness of three players who are being treated for niggling injuries.
Saru says Gurthrö Steenkamp (AC joint), Flip van der Merwe (hamstring) and JJ Engelbrecht (quad muscle) all picked up bumps in the Test against New Zealand in Auckland last weekend.
Team doctor, Craig Robers, says none of their injuries are too serious and the players will be carefully managed in the coming days.
"Gurthrö and JJ trained with the squad on Monday morning, although they did not do the entire session," said Dr Roberts.
"Flip didn't train on Monday, but he's already improved a lot since the match in Auckland and we'll give him all the time he needs to fully recover."
The Springbok team to face Australia will be named on Wednesday afternoon.
