Boks labour to win in Mendoza

Two late penalties by Morne Steyn gave South Africa their second consecutive victory in the Rugby Championship as they beat Argentina 22-17 in Mendoza on Saturday - a complete turn-around from the 73-13 demolition the Boks had enjoyed in Johannesburg a week earlier.

Bjorn Basson scored the sole try for the Springboks in the first half and Steyn had an unblemished evening as he landed all six attempts to add 17 points.

Juan Manuel Leguizamon and Marcelo Bosch touched down for the Pumas in both ends of the first half as they outscored South Africa 2-tries to one.

Meanwhile: Leonardo Senatore has been cited for allegedly biting Eben Etzebeth on the forearm in the 61st minute of the match.

In Wellington, The All Blacks made it two wins out of two against Australia as they won convincingly 27-16 to also retain the Bledisloe Cup for an 11th consecutive year.
