The Junior Springboks beat Samoa 21-8 in their IRB Junior World Championship clash at the ECOLight Stadium in Pukekohe on  Tuesday to top their group with a perfect three wins out of three headed into the semi-finals.

8th man Aidon Davis scored in the first half and winger Sergeal Peterson crossed in the final minute of the game.

Samoa led 8-7 at half time, but surrendered the lead for good in the 64th minute when Baby Boks centre Andre Esterhuizen crashed over next to the posts.

In his post match interview, Baby Bok's captain Handre Pollard commended Samoa for putting up a great fight.

He said they'd showed great committment throughout the first half and that his boys' had been a little flat.

Pollard was happy with the way his team had lifted their game in the second half, but said there had still been too many errors which they'd have to work on going into the playoffs.
