Athletics South Africa president James Evans says six ASA board members have been suspended - along with financial manager Terrence Mago-godela.

Evans says vice-president Hendrick Ramaala is among them.

The six have been suspended pending the outcome of disciplinary cases against them which have been referred to the disciplinary committee.

Evans said Morgan Matholeni had been appointed as acting ASA general manager.
