All set for Wimbledon 2012

World number one and defending champion Novak Djokovic opens Wimbledon on Centre Court at 2 o'clock this afternoon,  wary of the threat posed by former French Open winner Juan Carlos Ferrero.

Djokovic has not played a competitive match since losing to Rafael Nadal on the clay courts of Roland Garros two weeks ago.

Women's number one Maria Sharapova, who completed a career Grand Slam with victory at the French Open, is second-up on Centre Court where she meets Australia's Anastasia Rodionova.

On Court One, six-time champion Roger Federer begins his campaign against Spanish left-hander Albert Ramos.

The Fed's match will follow the opener betweeArgentina's David Nalbandian and the 8th seed Janko Tipsarevic.

Nalbandian is coming off a tumultious week in which he was sanctioned approximately 70-thousand dollars in prize money and fines, and docked 150 ranking points.
He was defaulted in the final of the Queens tournament against Marin Cilic last week when he kicked an advertising hoarding which cause a nasty gash to the leg of a lines judge.
