Algoa FM Sport Editor, Neil Bisseker, has been named the Telkom Business Journalist of the Year at the Compleat Golfer Awards in Johannesburg on Monday night.
Bisseker, who is also deputy news editor at Algoa FM, was honoured for his work in promoting golf in the Eastern Cape over the past 26 years.
"Biscuit" said he received the award from South African golfing icon, Dennis Hutchinson.
"I said in my acceptance speech that it was so special that we are recognised for what we are doing to promote Eastern Cape golf in particular because we have so many fantastic sport achievers down here and they dont' always go recognised for what they do and its kudos to Compleat Golfer magazine for recognising that we do some good work down in the Eastern Cape."
