This February Port Elizabeth music lovers are in for a treat as the vivacious, fiery-haired and angel-tongued majestic mistress of music Nianell sings at the annual Concert in the Park.
South Africa’s favourite director Richard Cock and Trumpeter Prince Lengoasa will also be performing at this year’s Concert in the Park, which will be taking place on Saturday, February 8 at five in the evening and on Sunday, February 9 at ten in the morning at Victoria Park.
The arrangements will include elements of Folk, Pop, R&B, Country, Classic and even Celtic music, which are all fused into Nianell’s unique style.
She is no stranger to classical music and big bands, having performed with the legendary Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli, as well as Shakira and Freshly Ground at the FIFA World Cup final.
Nianell will be singing songs from her albums “Who painted the moon”, “Angel Tongue” and “Life’s gift” which received platinum status, while her fourth “I know I’m lucky” has achieved Gold status and is climbing to Platinum fast.
“Pack a picnic and bring the family to enjoy a world-class music performance under the Port Elizabeth skies,” says Algoa FM marketing manager Toinette Koumpan.
Tickets will be available at the Victoria Park gates and cost R90 for adults, R60 for pensioners and R40 for scholars (pre-schoolers are free).
