Join the DMB for a Spring dip – come rain or shine!

Algoa FM’s Daron Mann Breakfast (DMB) team is challenging the people of the Metro to join them for an early morning swim on September 1 to celebrate Spring Day – come rain or shine!
“We know that the weather on the official first day of spring is usually rainy or cold – or both – but we will be in the water from around seven in the morning,” says Algoa FM programme manager Baydu Adams.
“Listeners in the Metro are invited to join us to brush off the cobwebs and banish the winter blues as we welcome spring,” says Adams.
It will be a “mass splash,” with Charlton Tobias (Charlie T) joining the brave swimmers on the beach to start everyone off at the same time – and to join them in the water.
Fellow DMB presenters Daron Mann and Carol-Ann Kelleher will be commentating from the safety of the studio.
Lifeguards will be hand to ensure safety, says Adams.
