Daron Mann, Algoa FM Breakfast Host, to Broadcast Live from George

Award-winning host of the Breakfast Show on Algoa FM, Daron Mann, will be in George from June 20 for a George Business Chamber function.
Mann was judged the country’s Best Breakfast Presenter in Commercial Radio at the MTN Radio Awards in April this year.
Algoa FM’s breakfast team will also broadcast live from the Algoa FM offices in York Street on Friday, 21 June, the morning after the business chamber function.
“Our breakfast team has been eager to return to the Garden Route area ever since their last visit when we switched on our signal transmission to the Garden Route on Thursday, 1 December 2011. It was one of our proudest moments.” says Managing Director of Algoa FM, Dave Tiltmann.
“Daron winning his award was another proud moment for the station. It is something we need to celebrate with our entire broadcast area and that includes the Southern Cape”, says Tiltmann.
“The best thing about doing an outside broadcast is that you get to meet your listeners. I think I speak for the whole team, my co-hosts Carol-Ann and Charlton, when I say it is one of the highlights about being on the ground”, says Mann.
“We hope that listeners will certainly pop by our broadcast van and say hi or chat. Even if they can’t make it to the outside broadcast to please tune in to our show between 6-9am”.
Algoa FM will dedicate that morning’s breakfast show to Eden lions. Eden Lions has organised a Stop Hunger Now Meal Packaging Event to take place on the morning of the broadcast where more than 40 volunteers will aim to package 10 000 meals in two hours. Each meal pack feeds six people in total, and will then be distributed to all the needy schools in the Garden Route identified by Eden Lions.
