Algoa Cares Charity Golf Day brightens up Nkosinathi Foundation

Christmas came early this year for the Nkosinathi Foundation of and for Blind and Partially Sighted People, which assists over 700 people per year in Nelson Mandela Bay metro.

Algoa FM managing director Dave Tiltmann handed over a cheque for R50 000 to the charity on Thursday.

Funds raised by the golf day will be used to equip Nkosinathi's early childhood development centre with specialised educational toys and tactile story books for blind children, musical instruments, tables and chairs and “first talking computers,” says Nkosinathi Foundation director Debby Wakeford.

“This would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the golfers and sponsors who participated and added value in various ways to make the day an enjoyable one.

Thanks to the support we receive from the community, the Algoa Cares Charity Golf Days continue to be a highlight on the events calendar for businesses in our region,” says Toinette Koumpan, marketing manager at Algoa FM.
