Build One South Africa's (BOSA) leader, Mmusi Maimane is set to launch his party in Gqeberha on Wednesday.

Maimane will be flanked by Nelson Mandela Bay’s Deputy Executive Mayor, Mkhuseli "Khusta" Jack of Abantu Integrity Movement (AIM) who is an affiliate of BOSA.

Jack shocked everyone in September when it was announced that he was BOSA's national chair.

At the time Jack said that he was not leaving AIM but joining BOSA as they were "like-minded".

Deputy leader for the party, Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster, said launching the party in the Bay was significant as it is the first provincial launch and because of the relationship it has with AIM.

Speaking to AlgoaFM News, Hlazo-Webster said Eastern Cape was representative of their collaborative approach.

“We exist as an umbrella body for independents and for other smaller organisations that want to contest the elections.

“We believe that there is great potential in the province which has not been realised, fully,” Hlazo-Webster said.

“There is an opportunity for an increase in employment, there are sectors which have not been fully realized, and they have not been tapped into.

She said there are value chains and ecosystems to do more especially in entrepreneurship.

Hlazo-Webster said she wanted to see Eastern Cape talents being fully utilized in the province instead of being used by other provinces.

“As BOSA, we want to bring power back to people and that is one thing that differentiates us as political organisation.

The party will be launched at Nangoza-Jebe hall in New Brighton at 4 pm.
